The Veltmans were formed in 2019, by Will Stephens and Josh Elphick; with bass player, George Hamer joining after filming a jam session and being made aware that the position was vacant.
In the summer of 2021, George called lifelong friend (and drummer) Roo Samuel-King to come along for a practice and has drummed with us until October 2023. Thank you Roo and welcome new drummer Hugo.
The Veltmans diverse musical influences blend various genres and tones into their music. Inspired by the angst of indie rock, the guitar work of blues, and ambience of shoegaze. The music of, Interpol, The Strokes, Rush, and Stevie Ray Vaughan is often played at rehearsals.
More recently, The Veltmans worked with up and coming producer Jasper Lyons who helped them record their latest, debut release named 'Peers.' They recorded this at their local rehearsal space, Bad Habit Rehearsal Rooms
